I am a Commercial Finance Analyst at PPD. I received my Bachelor of Arts in Biology with minors in Arabic and Chemistry at Case Western Reserve University. My career goal is to be a pediatric specialist who promotes health literacy and mental health awareness, especially for children in abusive households. I am personable and constantly intrigued by the different stories and backgrounds each person can bring to the table. Thus, I have always enjoyed tutoring students of all ages as I am able to develop a diverse skill set that will prepare me well for communicating with different types of people, as well as allowing me to support students with knowledge and experiences believe are valuable.

I have tutored students for approximately five years. During my third year of high school, I would actively help my peers prepare for calculus exams, and develop study guides and plans to provide some guidance for self-studying as well. After this informal tutoring experience, I became a Teacher's Assistant for Honors Biology during my final year of high school; I was given the opportunity to help students understand and study content both in and out of the classroom. From the second semester of my first year to the present, I have been tutoring for an on-campus organization called Project STEP-UP. Our mission is to improve literacy and overall academic support for children in the East Cleveland public school system--especially students who do not have access to such resources. Through this program, I am able to tutor elementary and middle school students in the East Cleveland Public Library, and topics that I have focused on range from teaching how to read/alphabet to biology.

I deeply enjoy connecting with my students and getting them to that "aha!" moment with every lesson. I am very flexible with students'/ parents' requests and suggestions, so please feel open to providing me with any resources you would like me to use for lessons. Feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions or to schedule a lesson!

I have tutored elementary students (K-5) with math for over 3 years. I initially began tutoring students at this level through a non-profit organization on my university's campus, in which I had the opportunity to offer tutoring services to underprivileged children in our local community. Then, I expanded into another online tutoring platform, in which I have tutored approximately 15 elementary school students with mathematics.

great tutor

My daughter was tutored for her biology course where she was struggling to understand how to apply some of the concepts. The session went great and in turn my daughter had a better understanding of the application.
